BCGS Bring A Friend Deadline Extended

All current BCGS members are eligible for one entry for each full membership (not associate memberships) they sign up from August 2012 to June 1, 2013.

New memberships taken out now will run from September 2012 to December 2013.

Three Prize Baskets will be awarded at the June 12, 2013 meeting by draw. These will include concert tickets, wine, a restaurant gift card, genealogical supplies and a bonus gift.

Robert Burns Marathon, January 25, 2013, Vancouver – Simon Fraser University’s Scottish Studies Burns Marathon readings from Burns’ works will be from 9 am to 4 pm at the Harbour Centre Campus in downtown Vancouver.

British Columbia Genealogical Society (BCGS) Affiliate Group benefits for BCGS affiliate groups’ individual members include:

– free publication of articles, queries and surname interests in The British Columbia Genealogist journal

– free subscription, if requested, to the BCGS’s e-newsletter, The Offspring, full of up to the minute genealogy and family history news.

– free attendance at year round BCGS general and special interest group meetings; discounts on many BCGS special seminars and events,

– free access to the BCGS Library in Surrey (not including borrowing privileges)

– opportunities to join BCGS research projects.
