Re the family birth mystery, as a researcher, I think we have to be open to many scenarios in cases like this. Now with DNA we have opportunities that genealogists before us couldn’t even dream of. I’d go that route if it’s feasible. And I’d keep looking for clues to the family relationships in all kinds of documents too. Mdr
