The Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS) has a free news E-zine every 2 months. You can read this on the FFHS website or subscribe to receive it by e-mail.

This issue features news from Australia. Did you know?  August 2013 will be Family HIstory Month in Australia and New Zealand thanks to the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations, the New Zealand Society of Genealogists and support from governments, local groups and commercial companies.

And the FFHS has news from Canada too about the BC Genealogical Society’s response to the non-release of the 1921 Canadian Census. See this article: http://www.bcgs.ca/?p=3146 on our website.

The Federation of Family History Societies is an international organization. Its aims are to :

  • co-ordinate and assist the work of organisations interested in family history, genealogy and heraldry
  • foster co-operation and projects that help researchers
  • represent the interests of family historians, especially in the preservation and availability of archives.

The British Columbia Genealogical Society is a member of the FFHS.
