Here’s a look at the BC Genealogical Society St. Patrick’s Day Parade group. Lots of music and dancing and bagpipes. We were very lucky really with the weather for CelticFest Vancouver this year – never too cold, only a little bit of drizzle (and no snow!).

BCGS Group Marching - CelticFest 2014Here we are marching on Howe Street about midway.

BCGS & UELAC groupWe marched right behind our friends, the Vancouver Branch of the United Empire Loyalists of Canada. Here’s a group photo of most parade members from both groups. And yes, as you can see, a good time was had by all!

I know the British Isles Family HIstory Society of Greater Ottawa was in Ottawa’s parade. John D. Reid has photos of the BIFHSGO group on his Anglo-Celtic Connections blog.  Which other Canadian genealogical groups took part in this year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations? Please do comment.
