DNA Group News – FamilyTree DNA sale

Father’s Day Sale at FamilyTreeDNA - to June 17, 2014 the price for Family Finder autosomal tests is reduced to $79 from $99 and the BigY test is $595.

If you had tested for Y-DNA with Ancestry previously, given that that company has announced abandoning all but autosomal testing, you may want to transfer your results to FamilyTree DNA for $19 and then upgrading the testing for a low additional cost – or you could look at taking a new test there. Roberta Estes has an article about this,  Transfer DNA Results or Retest at Family Tree DNA? Her Y-DNA recommendation is to transfer Ancestry results and to upgrade Y-DNA results at FamilyTreeDNA - just as soon as possible.
