The BC Genealogical Society Annual General Meeting is Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 7:30 pm, at the Danish Lutheran Church, Downstairs Hall, 6010 Kincaid St., Burnaby, BC. See a location map with directions.

Speaker: Lindsay McArthur

Topic: Cemetery Research and Transcribing – how to properly clean headstones.

LIndsay McArthur has worked on cemetery projects in both Maple Ridge and Fort Langley. While working at the Langley Centennial Museum she organized “Down to Earth”, a provincial cemetery symposium attended by people from around British Columbia. Lindsay is currently the Visual Arts programmer at the Surrey Art Gallery.

The BC Genealogical Society’s Cemetery Committee is planning field trips and photography projects for 2015. If you are interested in working on a cemetery project with the Committee, please contact Betty Allen by e-mail: bcgs@bcgs.ca or leave a message at the BCGS Library 604 502 9119.
