BCGS General Meeting – August 9, 2017 – Speaker Ron Hyde

The next BC Genealogical Society’s general meeting will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017, 7:30 pm at the Danish Lutheran Church in Burnaby, Downstairs Hall, 6010 Kincaid St., Burnaby, BC.

Ron Hyde will be speaking. Ron is a writer and an historian specializing in the history of the Richmond area of BC and is the author of The Sockeye Special: the story of the Steveston tram and early Lulu Island.

Ron is Membership Chair of the British Columbia Historical Federation (BCHF), and was a BCHF Honorary President. The Historical Federation has been promoting and preserving British Columbia’s history since its beginnings in 1922. Read one of Ron’s articles about the BCHF in The Scriver, the newsletter of the Society of BC Notaries Public of BC.

And there will be a Genealogical Cocktail Party.
