Alice Marwood cutting BCGS Annniversary Cake, 2011An excellent party last night at the BCGS Christmas Social – the 2011 Most Improved Genealogists were announced, winners of the BCGS 2011 Family History Award attended, there was a look at our new website, and a record number of members’ family history displays – so much to look at, discuss and celebrate with other genealogists.

This is the end of our 40th year so of course, there was a cake. And what a great cake!

BCGS Anniversary Cake, 2011Alice Marwood, one of the BCGS’s founding members and currently BCGS Corresponding Secretary, is shown cutting the cake. Names of the other founding members are also celebrated on the cake.
