The library was in temporary space or in storage until the purchase in 1996 of the current building at 12837 76 Avenue, Surrey. It was entitled The Walter Draycott Memorial Library and Resource Centre and it now holds over 18,000 books. The full story of the BCGS Library is available on pages 183 – 188 of The British Columbia Genealogical Society 1971 – 1995, The First Quarter Century.
The 2020 BCGS Calendar will be available in November 2019 at the BCGS Members Meeting on November 13th and at the BCGS Walter Draycott Library. Prices are $15.00 per calendar or two for $25.00.
Other genealogical groups in BC have placed substantial orders so be sure to order now to ensure your copy of the calendar. They make great Christmas gifts for those hard to buy for people.
