The BCGS Walter Draycott Library and Resource Centre is staffed by volunteers who will help visitors search for resources at the site, but will not do any research. All visitors will be asked to sign in. Members, please remember your membership card must be shown. Group visits should be arranged in advance; please contact the Library Administrator.
FamilySearch Affiliation – The BCGS Walter Draycott Library is a FamilySearch Family History Library affiliate library. You may order films on-line from the Library in Salt Lake City to use at the BCGS Library. See this link for more information and for the on-line ordering system: https://familysearch.org/films
When ordering films to the BCGS LIbrary, please send the BCGS Library Administrator a quick e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know your name, contact info and which films you are expecting.

The BCGS Library and Resource Centre has well over 16,000 worldwide publication titles, plus numerous census records on microformats, tapes and CDs, and a number of unique research resources for British Columbia and also for Quebec and Sweden. All these are available for use free by members and at the nominal charge of $5.00 a day for non members. (And if a visitor decides to join the BCGS that day, the charge witll be credited towards the membership fee.)
There is a lunchroom at the Library and restaurants nearby.

American Ancestors (New England Historic Genealogical Society)
American Ancestors on-line databases include a wide array of indexes and records for US resources, especially for the New England area, but not limited to New England. The American Ancestors website also has a number of free indexes and resources.
