Passed Members

Life is precious and no one wants to die. There doesn’t seem to be any agreement about what happens after life. However, everyone will agree what genealogy heaven looks like.

It is a place where you will find your ancestors, no brick walls exist, you can ask a question about your ancestor and get an answer, all DNA matches come with a family tree that fits into your own, and since you never get tired, you can do research without interruption as long as you like.

The British Columbia Genealogical Society has been operating for more than 50 years. During that time many of our members have passed on.

We remember them with kind thoughts.

We have obituaries and death registrations for over 600 passed members. The Indexes include the member number—the lower the number, the earlier the person was a member. Click on the Obituaries button below to find and view obituaries. The Death Registrations button takes you to a copy of what is shown in the BC Archives Vital Records. If you are interested in a particular passed member, feel free to contact BC Research. There is no cost for this service if you are a member.
