BC Church Records

BCGS volunteers have transcribed early birth, marriage, and burial records from various churches in communities around British Columbia. These records have been available in our library for some time and have now been scanned for inclusion on our website. The transcriptions are ordered by date, in the same way as the original records, and are listed below by category.

We have adhered to the commonly-accepted restrictions on publishing birth and marriage records - we are only publishing baptism records for people born more than 100 years ago, and marriage records for marriages that took place more than 75 years ago. We do hold some additional church records that are more recent; if you are interested in a more recent baptism or marriage for any of the churches listed below, please contact our BC Research team to see whether we can help.
