BCGS Pioneer Registry Index
British Columbia Pioneers
The purpose of the Pioneer Registry is to enrich the Society’s research sources and to discover who amongst our members have British Columbia pioneer ancestors.
In the 1990s, the BC Genealogical Society began to collect information about early pioneers in British Columbia. BCGS Members are invited to submit pioneer information for any family member that arrived in British Columbia prior to 1925.
The Index of over 3,800 pioneer names can be viewed using the alphabetical links below. If you see a name that interests you, please contact our BC Research Committee (queryrequest@bcgs.ca) to request further information. This will be provided free of charge to BCGS members; non-members will be required to pay a research fee of $15.00.
If you would like to add (or update) information about your family members who arrived in BC prior to 1925, please complete the Pioneer Registry form here.
