Our next BCGS members’ meeting will be via Zoom.us on
11 November 2026 at 7:30 PM.

Join the meeting between 7 & 7:30 when Members chat and share.

Guest Speakers:‍ ‍The presenters for our November meeting will be
Ted Usher & Debbie Jiang.

Ted will talk on the Last Post Fund, followed by Debbie giving a talk on Private Sentaro Omoto, a WWI CEF soldier who later spent several years in an internment camp during WWII. The story is about how Debbie, the Omoto family and the Last Post Fund worked to have his ashes moved from the Buddhist Temple to a Veteran section of Mountain View Cemetery after 73 years. Debbie will also talk about the Richmond banner initiative. I believe she will also talk about the reactivation of Branch 9 of the Royal Canadian Legion, a Japanese Canadian branch shut down in WWII.

An invitation from the BCGS to the meeting, using Zoom, will be sent to members.
